iHerb is a treasure chest of vegan products and the prices are pretty much unbeatable. Typing ‘vegan’ into the search field there are over 1000 products available to us – from vegan food, to vegan and cruelty free beauty products and vegan and cruelty free hair products… but which are the best ones?
Since I have a slight iHerb addiction I’ve tried quite a lot of products, and these are what I think are the best 6 vegan foods on iHerb!
If you’re new to iHerb, you can get $10 off your first order with my code VNB130.
1. Alter Eco Vegan Chocolates
The majority of Alter Eco chocolate is vegan and it’s all a-maz-ing! Fair trade, organic and smooth and dark without the bitter taste – you can’t go wrong really! My favourites are the Dark Quinoa (the quinoa is puffed so it’s nice and crunchy), Deep Dark Sea Salt (surprisingly good if you’ve never had salted chocolate!) and Dark Mint. You can buy this chocolate in Australia in some supermarkets but it’s way cheaper on iHerb!
2. Endangered Species Vegan Chocolate
Similarly to Alter Eco, not all of Endangered Species chocolate is vegan – but their dark range is, and they’re super yummy! Not only are their fairtrade, non-GMO and gluten free, but they also donate 10% of their profits to organisations that support species conservation and habitat preservation. My favourites of theirs are Almond Butter Creme Filled Dark Chocolate (so gooey and creamy!), Dark Chocolate with Espresso Beans (just the perfect amount of coffee beans) and Dark Chocolate with Deep Forest Mint.
3. Justin’s Nut Butters
These are without a doubt the best nut butters I’ve ever had! OK, it’s probably my massive sweet tooth talking again but Justin’s Nut Butters are seriously the bomb because they’re all mixed with yummy flavours.
Spread on some sliced apple, added to oatmeal in the morning (seriously good), or just eaten with a spoon – I can’t get enough of this stuff. It sells out all the time on iHerb so when it’s in stock buy up! I love the Vanilla Almond Butter the most – it comes in a jar or in handy travel sachets. If it’s sold out the Maple Almond Butter is a close runner up. I love the Chocolate Hazelnut Butter Blend in oatmeal in the morning – it’s pretty close to a vegan Nutella!
4. Dandies Vegan Marshmallows
VEGAN MARSHMALLOWS. That should be enough of an explanation right? Dandies vegan marshmallows are so good! They’re a bit heavier than traditional marshmallow but it kind of (maybe) stops you eating the whole pack.
5. Raw Revolution Bars
These Raw Revolution Bars are the handiest, guilt-free healthy snacks I’ve found anywhere! They’re packed full of yummy chocolatey flavour, are only made of live, raw and organic ingredients and are just 100 calories each – perfect! My favourite flavours are the Chocolate Coconut Bliss and the Spirulina Dream, which also come in larger sizes if you’re looking for a bit more to snack on.
6. Lara Bar Multipack
I always see American bloggers talking about Larabar, and when I bought them I found out why! Raw Rev are my go to, but these are a nice change and are great for travelling as well. The best part is this multipack has three different flavours – Cherry Pie, Cashew Cookie and Apple Pie – so you get a good variety.
7. Food Should Taste Good Vegan Chips
These guys are right, food SHOULD taste good, and these sure do! They’re not like regular chips, they’re like tortilla chips, and not overly salty. Again, they’re not all vegan but they’re marked on iHerb if they are. My favourites are the sweet potato, multigrain and lime.
