Being from the Gold Coast, I’m always really excited to learn of new vegan friendly places that I can try when I visit my family and friends. When I saw that an organic, vegan restaurant called Greenhouse Factory had opened I just had to check it out and write a review!
The restaurant is located almost on the beach in lovely Coolangatta, and does breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although it was a pretty rainy miserable morning when we visited, we appreciated being so close to the surf and sand. The interior of the cafe is lovely, definitely a nice place to catch up with friends over a long brunch!
I was so excited to see banana and spinach pancakes on the menu – I HAD to order them! They came with beautifully presented fruits, a cashew cream and maple syrup and were absolutely divine.
The omni-partner doesn’t quite have as sweet a tooth as me, so ordered the breakfast burrito, which was very impressive! It was chock full of spicy beans and tofu scramble and drizzled with a delicious cashew sour cream. He had trouble finishing it!
Not only was the food amazing but the choice of milk for your coffee and tea doesn’t end with soy, they also offer almond and their own cashew milk made on site. Yum!
I would definitely recommend the Greenhouse Factory and will be back! It would likely be a ‘sometimes’ visit though, as it was a bit on the expensive side at $50 for breakfast and coffee for two. Though considering all the food is organic I guess that can be expected.
After spying part of their dinner menu I would definitely want to return to give every meal they have to offer a go!
The Greenhouse Factory Restaurant and Bar is located at 1/74 Musgrave Street, Coolangatta, Queensland
